After a claim is paid by a mortgage lender's MI, can the MI collect from the borrower?

As my 1st mortgage in going through a HAM modification, my 2nd mortgage, originated by the same company as the 1st, was assumed by the lender’s MI after an insurance claim was paid to the lender. What right does the MI have to seek collection for the 2nd?

When is the best time to look for a mortgage lender?

My wife and I are building our first house. The closing date on the house is April, 25, 2009. Thats a little over 2 months. Should we start shopping around for the best mortgage rate now or wait until 1 month before closing date? Any advice(s) on mortgage lender is welcome. Thank guys!

I want a limit of maybe 10,000 dollars to help with my wedding. I also currently have a credit card, my only credit card of 3,000 dollars that I would like to pay off with the new credit card. I have very good credit so I really dont think that will be an issue.

How do I get a grant or money for college?

I did the MA training for 8 months, after a few years I realize there is not much more money to be made hourly with this position and it is not enough. I would like to go to LVN school but the price just sounds impossible…it is a good investment though if i could make a lot more money.

Is there any incentive for a mortgage broker to lock you in at a higher interest rate?

Our mortgage broker is encouraging us to wait for the interest rates to fall again despite the fact that they have increased steadily for the past three weeks. Is there a monetary incentive for him to lock us in higher? We are paying 1 point for a better rate.
