It is getting more and more difficult to obtain a mortgage on a mobile home (especially one not brand new). With it being on leased land it may not be possible, even with good credit. If you own the home, why the new mortgage. If it is a need for money, you could sell it outright. This may not be the news you wanted but that is the reality of the real estate market where I am. I am an experienced real estate professional in Alabama. We have more than our fair share of mobile homes.
